About

I am a non-fiction writer who lives to read books and likes to cook, look at art, listen to music.

I still live in Manhattan. Moving to New York in 1981 was a leap into the great unknown, a gamble that continues to pay off. New York City for better or worse (mostly better) has made me who I am. After watching the city change so much over the last twenty years, I’m inspired to write about the “old New York” — that dirty, distant metropolis. Before it’s gone. Forever.
